My goal is to allow for a safe, nurturing, youngster-centered environment with a high-quality educational program that serves diverse children and families. ismMy philosophical beliefs are based in my knowledge of child instruction, theories of child behavior, and acceptable best practices for educating young children Understanding childrens play and the instructors role in guiding and facilitating cognitive, social, emotional and corporal development through play. Building relationships with children and families through dialogue, understanding, and interactive experiences. Encouraging children to make decisions dapple learning and to understand how their decisions affect others. Guiding children through teacher-planned, child-initiated activities based on childrens interests. These activities enhance childrens skills in all areas of development. My goal is to pull up stakes an environment that is safe, accessible, interesting, and child-centered. I want to provide nurturanc e, guidance and experiences to maximize childrens total development. This is based on following statementsAll children have the expert to be accepted, respected, and embraced as competent. Children are continuous learners and learn best inside the context of family and their everyday experiences. Children construct knowledge by active friendship with real materials and the environment. Free play is essential in developing the cognitive skills of children. Development of the whole child with a focus on promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development should always be the main goal. Assessment of children should be on-going, musing of childrens experiences, and occur within the context of daily classroom activities. Childrens family/cultural backgrounds broaden the curriculum for all children. Collaboration between families and teachers supports the development of the child and home-school relationships.
